Helping operators de-skill their kitchens

Our Managing Director, Alex Demetriou recently presented at the NFAN (National Farm Attractions Network) annual conference demonstrating how operators can successfully de-skill their kitchens to adapt to current industry challenges, while still offering great quality food.

During his session, Alex selected a member of the audience with no cooking experience and provided him with all the ingredients and equipment he needed to cook four beef burgers 🍔 🍔 🍔 🍔

The finished burgers were then taste-tested by four experienced business owners and foodservice operators, and due to the carefully selected sauce profiles and the quality of the ingredients, such as Monterey Jack cheese, the pre-prepared burgers took less than 10 minutes to prepare and were awarded either 8/10 or 9/10 from all four judges.

Alex also focused on quick and easy was to ‘premium-ise’ simple dishes to enhance margins and increase customers’ perception.

And he did it all while recovering from major knee surgery!
