Good to Go Scheme Extended

10 February, 2021

The "We're Good to Go" scheme run by Visit Britain / Visit England has been extended.

This scheme, run in partnership with Visit Scotland / Visit Wales and Tourism Northern Ireland allows businesses across the hospitality and tourism sectors to apply for an industry standard certification that assures customers you are adhering to the relevant government guidelines regarding the Covid-19 pandemic.

Once you have read and implemented the governments Covid-19 reopening guidelines you simply need to visit the below link and complete a self assessment, including a checklist, to prove that your venue is compliant. You will then receive certification and the 'We're Good to Go' mark to display online and in your premises.

If you have multiple sites each of these must apply separately, and if they are in differing parts of the country they need to ensure they are adhering to the correct guidance for their area.

An alert system is available once you have successfully applied, this means that if guidance changes in your area you will receive notification that you need to make changes to your premises. They also offer a call handling service for any queries and assessors will be making spot checks across businesses around the country to ensure they are adhering to the correct guidelines.

Visitors are advised to check on the 'Know Before You Go' website to see which venues have this certification with the idea being that consumers are more likely to chose venues that are open and verified in their compliance.
