DJ’s Play is a multi-site indoor play operator with sites across the south of England.
Earlier this year, DJ’s Play approached Regency Purchasing Group to ask for assistance with a planned menu refresh.
Following a full business and menu review, the team at Regency Purchasing Group created and presented new menu concepts and recommended a new supplier delivering a cost saving of almost 15% against the current supplier.
While the team at DJ’s Play were keen to implement the suggested menu changes, they expressed hesitancy in switching to a new supplier without first reviewing product quality.
To address this, we facilitated a menu development session with the new supplier’s Development Chef, where key product lines were sampled and a full quality review was completed. This session delivered positive results and it was agreed that the product quality was equally good, and in most cases better, than the existing supplier.
Due to our strong supplier relationships, we were then able to take this to the next level with an on-site cooking session for the full kitchen team, where the Development Chef supported them as they cooked each new menu item, as well as assisting with presentation and portion control.
