About Us

Our Net Zero commitment

As sustainability continues to grow in significance on the global agenda, we’re helping more and more operators align their procurement to unlock supply chain sustainability benefits and reduce their business’s impact on social, environment and economic factors.

Below we have detailed just some of the positive actions we’re taking to tackle this hugely important issue…

EXPERIENCE. INSIGHTS. RESULTS.

Responsible and local sourcing
We’re constantly reviewing our supply chains with a focus on responsible sourcing from sustainable suppliers, and we’re supporting our members as they make the switch from animal to plant-based proteins, as well as further enhancing local and seasonal sourcing.

We are, and always have been, committed to working with and supporting local and regional suppliers; our supplier partnerships are built on trust and transparency which means we’re on the same side of the table when it comes to negotiating costs. We trust our suppliers and utilise their expertise, focus and time to innovate to help deliver benefits to our members.
Transparency
Net zero is the best way we can tackle climate change; the actions we take in the next 10 years to limit emissions will be critical to the future of the planet, so it’s hugely important that businesses and individuals work together to reduce the carbon we produce.

We’re always looking for ways to improve supply chains and drive value for our members. To do this effectively, we’re committed to sharing clear and transparent information about our suppliers’ products and where they come from, always striving to reduce food miles and environmental impact.
Reducing food waste
Food waste is an important issue and as one of the UK’s leading food and drink procurement businesses, we acknowledge that we have a responsibility to do everything we can to reduce it.

Using our experience, knowledge and market-leading technology - in particular MenuIQ which effectively manages ingredient costs and usage to significantly reduce food waste - we work with our members to analyse, monitor and reduce food their wastage across all areas of their business.
Tackling single use plastics
Our approach is to help our members to reduce, reuse and recycle single-use plastics as much as possible. We have successfully supported some of the UK's most successful leisure attractions, zoos and high-footfall visitor attractions with the removal of all single-use plastics from their food and drink outlets.

And if this isn’t possible, we provide members with more environmentally-friendly options and/or more recyclable alternatives.
Animal welfare and investing in integrity
We're committed to ensuring a responsible and safe supply chain full of integrity, which is why we invest in quality sourcing with a focus on animal welfare.

Our food sourcing includes fruit and vegetables from farms holding GlobalGAP certificates, Red Tractor Farm Assured liquid milk and fish and shellfish responsibly sourced in accordance with the Marine Conservation Society (MCS) Good Fish Guide.
