Over the last few weeks all our staff have undertaken a ‘Covid Safe’ training programme in order to assist our members as they prepare for re-opening across the country.
The training programme covered a number of areas including; outlining the employer and employee responsibility in terms of safety compliance, advising where PPE is needed/recommended, assessing the varying level of risk in different sectors and providing safe instruction for the safe disposal of PPE.
The latest consumer surveys show that customers will only re-visit venues that they feel are safe and we want to make sure all of our members fall into this category to give them the best chance at bouncing back after lockdown.
We’ve undertaken the learnings from the work completed in our own sites, asked questions of our supplier network and arranged video training with sector experts. All our Procurement Managers have completed a formal certified course in ‘Infection Prevention and Covid Control’ and are available and happy to advise our members.
To date we have completed 120 assessments with our members; with more sessions planned over the coming weeks, to help them do all they can to keep everyone as safe as possible.
