Tom Filer, owner of the multi-award winning Family Adventurers Group which includes two indoor play sites (and a third coming soon!) and six day nurseries in the south-west (all of which are Regency members) has been appointed as first chair of the newly formed UKH Indoor Leisure Committee, a cross-sector committee of operators from indoor play, escape rooms, bowling, indoor golf, trampoline parks, competitive socialising and other indoor leisure venues.
Tom also sits on the Association of Indoor Play (AIP) committee and will now provide strategic direction for UKH policy-building by discussing and feeding in operational impact of legislation; identifying particular nuances affecting specific sectors; feed into government Tourism Industry Council discussions. The topics that will be addressed are business rates, VAT, planning, utilities and business support measures.
The group will feed into the Government's Hospitality Sector Council.
This has been the culmination of hard work by AIP on behalf of the children's play and leisure industry over the last two years - Regency would like to congratulate Tom and the Association of Indoor Play on this recent appointment.
