We’re thrilled to announce that Regency Purchasing Group secured a double-award win at the prestigious Somerset Business Awards on Friday 11th March 2022.

Following a stringent judging process, Regency was shortlisted for, and subsequently went on to win, both the ‘Large Business of the Year’ and ‘Rebuild and Thrive’ awards.

The Large Business of the Year award recognises businesses which have demonstrated strong ambition, profitability, growth, sound business planning, customer satisfaction and management of people.

The Rebuild and Thrive award is a new category for 2022 to recognise businesses that, despite some of the most challenging conditions ever, successfully reinvented and adapted their offering to prosper in the post-pandemic landscape.

Chief Operating Officer, Ben Hoskin and Office Manager, Sharon D'Arcy collected the awards.

“This fantastic achievement is all thanks to our amazing people; the business simply wouldn’t be where it is today without the tremendous effort and contribution from our brilliant team and of course, our fantastic members – we're extremely proud to work with some of the very best!

We really are thrilled to have won two awards; the Large Business of the Year award is such a coveted award, so to just be a finalist was a huge honour – and what a privilege it was to win! And the Rebuild and Thrive award pays recognition to the amazing work of our team as we navigated our way through the challenges presented to us by the pandemic.

We lost of 87% of our revenue in first lockdown, but as a business, we were fortunate enough to be able to support our team and keep everyone working. This in turn, allowed them to support our members when they needed it most. We also dedicated time to developing our systems and technology to ensure that when the world re-opened, we were in an even better position to support our members. All of this was alongside another huge achievement - growing our membership base by an impressive 20%, taking us from just under 3,000 members to over 3,600 across the UK.

It was such a privilege to have attended the award ceremony alongside so many other successful businesses from across the South West. I’d like to congratulate all the winners and finalists for their amazing achievements”.

Regency Purchasing Group was the only business to take home two awards on the night.
