Members of the Regency Purchasing Group team recently spent the day with valued supplier partner Allan Reeder, gaining first-hand insight into the business’s operations, product innovation and long-term vision.
Hosted by Heidi Reeder and the wider team, the visit offered a comprehensive overview of Allan Reeder’s extensive product portfolio, service capabilities and competitive strengths. Sustainability, operational excellence, and partnership development were central themes throughout the day.
A key focus of the visit was deepening product knowledge across essential categories. The Regency team explored dairy and alternative milks; butters, fats and creams; and core egg lines, including premium brands such as St. Ewe’s and Rich Yolk, alongside organic, liquid, and plant-based egg alternatives. They also reviewed yoghurts and breads, as well as fresh juices and wellness shots featuring brands such as Plenish, Squish and Daily Dose. With ongoing product development across multiple categories, the team saw how Allan Reeder continues to evolve its range to meet changing market demands, including the growth of plant-based and health-focused options.
Beyond product exploration, the visit provided valuable insight into Allan Reeder’s logistics and delivery model. Their direct delivery service, powered by their own employed drivers, ensures reliability, accountability and consistency for customers. A six-day-a-week delivery schedule, service availability until 10pm, and a day-one-for-day-two model all demonstrate the flexibility of their operation and the emphasis they place on personal service. A full warehouse tour showcased the scale and organisation behind the business, as well as the breadth of stocked products extending beyond core dairy lines.
One standout takeaway from the day was the strength of Allan Reeder’s cream pricing, with both soft and whipping creams positioned among the most competitive in the market. Seeing the production processes and product ranges first-hand reinforced the quality and robustness of their offer within this key category.
Sustainability was a consistent theme throughout the visit, with clear initiatives in place to minimise waste and support responsible practices across the operation. The team also highlighted their open, collaborative approach to partnership, including a willingness to host future visits for Regency teams and customers interested in exploring opportunities further.
Visits like this play an important role in ensuring Regency Purchasing Group remains informed, connected and well positioned to deliver meaningful value to its members. By investing in strong supplier relationships and staying close to operational and market developments, Regency is able to provide enhanced support, relevant insights and tailored solutions.
A sincere thank you to Heidi and the Allan Reeder team for their warm hospitality and for bringing their offering to life for our procurement experts. We look forward to sharing these insights with our members and continuing to strengthen this valued partnership.
