New Dawn Pubs raise the fundraising bar with London to Brighton trek

3 October, 2024

Last month, Regency member New Dawn Pub Group - an award-winning independent pub company, operating three destination pubs in Surrey and Hampshire, organised a three-day charity walk from Westminster Bridge to Brighton Pier.

Regency Purchasing Group's Anna Matthews and Leigh Armstrong from London Catering & Hygiene Services (a Regency supplier) joined the walkers along with others from associated businesses, and successfully completed the 100km trek!

A member of the New Dawn Pub Group commented:

"We believe in more than just serving exceptional drinks and food; we're committed to making a positive impact in the neighborhoods we call home.

From our annual charity challenges that bring people together to challenge themselves for good causes, to our ongoing support of local events and fundraisers, giving back is ingrained in our ethos.

Whether it's donating vouchers and prizes to support customer fundraising endeavours or organising community-driven initiatives, we strive to be a beacon of goodwill and generosity."

Last year, the New Dawn Pub Group charity challenge raised an incredible £17,000 across the year and this year their target was an ambitious £25,000 - and they did it!

The walkers raised an incredible £33,000 which will be split equally between two local charities: Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and Abby's Heroes.

Well done to Anna and everyone involved for successfully raising such a huge sum of money for two fantastic charities; walking for six to eight hours a day for three days is no mean feat. You are all amazing!
