Last week, the Regency Purchasing Group team, alongside colleagues from across the Foodbuy Group and our sister GPOs, headed to Bath Racecourse for a day with our key non-food supply partner, Nisbets.

The session gave us the opportunity to explore nine key categories plus a range of Nisbets own-label products, while also looking at innovation, emerging trends and changing regulations.

A big thank you to Claire Nagra and the wider Nisbets team for taking time out of their busy schedules to host us and share their expertise and product knowledge. Thank you also to Laura Abbott from Space Group, and to the brand owners who supported us on the day, including Vogue, Polar, Whites, Slipbuster and Bolero.

It was a really productive day of learning, collaboration and strengthening our supplier partnerships, all to further support our members. And it didn't end there...

We went on to spend the evening enjoying freshly made fish, chips and mushy peas in the sunshine overlooking Chew Valley Lake at Regency member site, Salt & Malt.

While our monthly team meetings give us an opportunity to share ideas, learn and collaborate, it's equally important for us all to take time out to socialise and connect… which is why we all get together every month, without fail.

Our team travel from all corners of the UK to meet up in different venues and locations, often in partnership with our members, suppliers and brand owners.

And this month was a good one! We'd like to say a big thank you to long-standing Regency member, renowned chef, restaurateur and owner of Salt & Malt, Josh Eggleton MBE, and his charismatic team for being such fantastic hosts and looking after us so well.

It was an evening of good food, great company and a spectacular lake-side setting.
