On Thursday 12 June, Regency team members joined over 450 Booker colleagues, suppliers and partners at the Booker Dragon Boat Race, an annual event that raises vital funds for industry charity, GroceryAid.
Over 40 teams rowed down the River Thames to the beat of the drum, competing to be crowned Dragon Boat champions.
Regency’s team included Ben Hoskin, Sian Collins, Nick Pursey, Martin Renwick and Anna Matthews who joined forces with five colleagues from St Pierre UK, and Regency’s Booker account manager, Leigh Baker, held the all-important role of the drummer. Throughout the event, Regency’s Susan Cameron supported ‘Team Regency’ enthusiastically from the river bank.
With sponsor activations, entertainment and a whole host of food and drink concessions (many of which were managed by KERB), the day was a true celebration of teamwork and generosity.
The event raised an impressive £370,000 with all funds going towards enabling GroceryAid to help grocery colleagues through life’s toughest moments, whether that’s financial struggles, mental health challenges, or unexpected crises.
Shout out to the very generous Will MacDonald, Managing Director at Clothing for Events - The Uniform People (a Regency supplier) for providing top-quality branded t-shirts for the whole team.
