Regency team support Ukrainian refugees staying at family-owned hotel

9 June, 2022

We know it’s a bit of a cliché, but the team at Regency Purchasing Group really is more like a big (and fast growing!) family.

We don’t just work together, we pull together to always support one another and those around us, whoever that may be…

When our Managing Director Alex Demetriou's Grandmother, Nitsa decided to open her 54-bedroom hotel to Ukrainian refugees, the Regency Purchasing Group team packed their cars full of clothes, food, toiletries and toys and hand-delivered supplies to the families in need.

Nitsa Michael, or “Nanny Michael” as she’s affectionately known by our team, wanted to offer the refugees a safe place to stay after her family's experience when they were forced to flee Cyprus in 1974 as Turkey invaded – watch the video below to find out more about her amazing generosity.

We hope the Ukrainians will not be away from their homes for long, but we know that Nanny Michael will take such wonderful care of all her guests for as long as they need – and our team (and amazing suppliers) will continue to support them with donations.
