Supporting British Food Fortnight

23 September, 2025

British Food Fortnight 2025 takes place 26 September to 12 October 2025. This is the 24th year of the national celebration of the diverse and delicious food that Britain produces.

The two week celebration provides a national platform for leisure and hospitality businesses to promote and sell local, seasonal British food to support local producers, encouraging consumers to reflect on the growing appreciation for British produce.

It not only highlights our culinary heritage but also the increasing consumer preference for locally sourced, high-quality ingredients.

The Rise of British Produce

Recent data shows a significant shift towards supporting British food. According to the Red Tractor Assurance Scheme, 91% of consumers trust food exclusively produced in the UK.

Additionally, over 80% believe it is important to buy British food, reflecting a deep-rooted confidence in standards and practices. It's clear that, although we are experiencing inflation pressures, consumers are still opting for quality and supporting local producers.

Why British Food?
